Vendor Information and Requirements:

All products: Must be handmade, homemade or grown in Virginia Region (NC, WV, MD, PA). If you wish to add new items beyond those listed on your application, you must notify us in writing so that your application can be updated and these items can be reviewed and approved prior to sale at the Market. No products may be sold without prior approval.

If you sell items produced or made by another local person, farm or artisan, you must know the producer or maker personally and represent to the public the fact that you did not produce or make such item.

ALL ITEMS MUST BE APPROVED BY MARKET MANAGER PRIOR TO SELLING OR DISPLAYING!

PRODUCER’S TAG**
This is free to any vendor selling items that they produced or made themselves. The Petersburg Commissioner of Revenue requires that all vendors have either a Producer’s Tag or a Petersburg Business License to vend in Petersburg. PETERSBURG BUSINESS LICENSE**
A Petersburg Business License can be obtained from the Commissioner of Revenue’s Office and costs $50. If a vendor is not eligible for a Producer’s Tag, a vendor must have a Petersburg Business License regardless of whether or not the vendor has a business license in another jurisdiction. **Artists do not need a special permit. Please contact the Commissioner of Revenue’s Office to determine if you qualify as an artist.

MARKET FEES:

10×10 vendor booth (Pay-As-You-Go): Weekly fee is $20 per booth space. (Must choose dates attending)

10×10 vendor booth (Pre-Pay 4 Market Minimum): For vendors committing to at least 4 Market Days, Pre-Payment of $40 is available (only $10 a week). (Must choose minimum of 4 dates attending, no refunds given)

10×10 vendor booth (Pre-Pay Season): For vendors committing to the Entire Market Season (31 dates), Pre-Payment of $200 is available (only $6.50 a week). (No refunds given for dates not attended)

WEEKLY FEE PAYMENT SCHEDULE

“Pay-As-You-Go” Payments must be submitted to the Market Manager in cash/check in a marked envelope before set-up each Market Morning. Market Manager also has a card swiper and Paypal. Bounced checks will incur an additional $35 fee. If payment is not made to the Market Manager before Market day begins, the vendor may not be permitted to vend the following given Market Day. Pre-Payment is encouraged for those vendors planning on attending at least 4 Market Days.

VENDOR ARRANGEMENTS/BOOTH ASSIGNMENTS

Vendor spaces are assigned according to availability, selling history, and retail considerations.

Notification: If a vendor finds that they will be absent from a Saturday Market, an email must be sent to the Market Manager by Wednesday at 12 noon or the Vendor may be suspended from future Market participation.

Each vending space is 10×10.  Spaces may allow a 19 foot car to park behind the vending space.  Layout changes dependent on event and weather. Always be prepared to park outside of the market.
